Dr. Mary Demirjian was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences from the California State University at Northridge. Dr. Demirjian then went on to the Southern California College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry. She is trained and licensed to use and prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals as well as licensed to diagnose, treat, and manage glaucoma. Dr. Demirjian has had experience working in the Greater Los Angeles Veteran’s Administration Hospital in the Optometry department as well as the Optometric Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Demirjian is an active member in the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. Dr. Demirjian currently serves on the board for the San Fernando valley Optometric Society as chair of membership and is a past-president of the society. She received the California Optometric Associations Young Optometrist of the year award in 2015.
Dr. Demirjian is fluent in Armenian and Spanish. She has been co-managing the refractive surgery procedure since she began practicing optometry over 8 years ago. She takes great pride in working with only the most experienced surgeons who use state-of-the-art technology.
In her free time, Dr. Demirjian, likes to travel and spend time with her family and friends!
